Our basic internship gives the student an introduction to theatre management, technical theatre, and production work. Usually educational credit and/or community volunteer hours requirements can be obtained in exchange for the student’s experience at Gamut Theatre. Hours are very flexible, but must be consistent (i.e. come to the theatre every Tue./Thurs. from 1-4 PM for one semester, work every day from 9-3 for one week, etc.) It is more structured than simply volunteering to work at the theatre.
Requirements:
Must be available on a consistent basis
Must be at least 15 years old
Must arrange an interview with Gamut Theatre Personel
To arrange an interview, please complete a Basic Internship Application and write a cover letter explaining why you would like to intern at Gamut Theatre Group. All materials can be sent to Elizabeth Hood, Production Manager, at production@gamuttheatre.org
The public relations/design internship gives the student experience in public relations, marketing, and design. This is a great internship for students who are not necessarily focused on theatre, but would like to gain experience in a professional organization. Educational credit and/or community volunteer hours can be obtained. Students must be available to work consistent hours. This internship is designed to help students build their portfolio in marketing/advertising.
Requirements:
